1807 EAST PALATKA FIRE STATION

Putnam County is on the cusp for economic and population growth. The East Palatka Fire Station provides the Life Safety and Health component that is necessary for any significant growth. The Fire Station was made possible by a state-funded grant and was the first vital step to provide better infrastructure for the potential growth that is expected to come to Eastern Putnam County.

The building is designed and constructed as an essential services facility to resist 139 MPH winds, ADA compliant, and energy efficient in accordance with the Florida Building Code and other applicable codes. The Fire Station is a full-time station that has eight Dorms, Men and Women’s Bathrooms, Meeting Room, Kitchen, a couple of Offices, and three Vehicle Bays.

The building type is a Metal Building System with steel studs and drywall at designated interior faces; pre-finished metal wall panels at exterior. Walls and columns supported on monolithic reinforced concrete footings and reinforced concrete floor slab.
